Openshift: Unable to upgrade to Wordpress 3.9

Question

My Wordpress installation offers an average upgrade to 3.9.

I click Update now , and the update process starts and ends successfully.

However, I still get the same update screen. The update does not seem to apply for some reason. Any ideas?

After starting the update from the adminpress administrator, restart the application using the rhc application restart command or click the restart button in the web console, after which it will inform you that the database update is required. Click the button and everything should be updated to wordpress 3.9.
