Setting the maximum number of concurrent open WebSockets (in IE)

I have this JS application. All client JS communication with a third-party stream server via web sockets. I have about 18 different network sockets open to one page. Firefox and Chrome manage this many open web sockets right away. IE11 seems to have a limit of 4 open web sockets at a time. As soon as I open this 5th web socket, regardless of calling the socket on a third-party server, I get an IE error message that closes the socket and gives a general "SecurityError" error and extends the proto section that it gives me. These seem to be pretty common mistakes from my searches. At first I thought that with IE there might be a problem with the trusted zone type, but I added the client site to my trusted zone, as well as the server providing the data.

This post contains information on the maximum number of websites for Firefox and Chrome , but I see nothing about IE. Are there any known restrictions for IE and web sockets? Answer: see edit below.

This MDN site is talking about increasing the maximum value , but then again, I can't find anything about IE. Is there an IE setting to increase the number of open connections? Answer: see below.

EDIT: This site shows the maximum connection settings for IE . This seems to be a registry setting in Windows that controls the number of web socket connections. Interestingly, I do not have a registry key anywhere, but there is still a limit to this. The page talks about IE10, and I work specifically with IE11. Does anyone know if there are registry settings for this regarding IE11? Has anyone just added these web socket registry keys and solved this problem?

the MSDN documentation you refer to is understandable when the default is 6 concurrent connections (which means, if it is not specified in the registry, I will receive); and unless stated otherwise in the documentation, it is probably safe to assume that newer versions of Internet Explorer act the same as version 10.
