RemoteLink is not recommended in Grails 2.4, now what?

I noticed in the Grails 2.4 documentation ( http://grails.org/doc/latest/ref/Tags/remoteLink.html ), he mentioned that the remoteLink tag is now deprecated.

But I do not understand the second part of the warning:

"Applications can provide their own Ajax tags and / or Javascript plugins can provide their own Ajax tags."

So it will just be deleted, so we should not use it at all? What is the replacement for this?

Basically, they remove tags because they don't add much value and instead introduce bad design patterns - they are too low. It's usually best to play within any Javascript framework you use and create higher-level tags that make AJAX calls targeted, rather than having a Grails JUST tag to create an AJAX call.
