How to pinch in the iOS simulator when the map display is only part of the screen?

I have a view on the iPad that I add MKMapView to say half the height of the full screen. However, when I try to pinch iOS Simulator, this will not work, since on nubs it fills the entire iPad view on the simulator.

So, when viewing the map on half the screen, and I press the "Option" key on the keyboard, I can not grab the map to squeeze it.

Does anyone know how to handle this?

You can move the two gray circles that represent your fingers around the screen by holding Option and Shift and moving the mouse.

Try double-clicking with the "Option" key pressed. On iPhone, this causes MKMapView to scale out.

Just pressing the alt key made two gray dots representing your fingers for me ...

You can use the Option (Alt) button or a combination of the Option button and control button along with mouse movement to zoom in and out on the map or image.

There is another way:

1- While holding the control key, click the mouse where you would like to center the pinch gesture. This will cause one gray dot to remain on the screen. (After that you can release the control key)

2- Now you can use the mouse to click and drag the gray dot specified in step 1

Once you're done, you can remove the gray space by clicking on it

To zoom with double click. To zoom, press and hold the option / alt button, this will give you 2 gray circles that represent your 2 fingers and drag the mouse up. To zoom in, drag the mouse with the selection key down (or double-click the mouse).
