Spring 4 WebSocket + sockJS :. Getting "No matching method found" in the trace handler and @MessageMapping not called

Question

Controller Code:

JavaScript:

Using this code, the interface can connect to the server via WebSocket and send messages. But the @MessageMapping chatReveived () handler method is not called.

It seems like he cannot find the handler method. Any idea where I was wrong?

The WebSocketConfig configuration class must be loaded as part of the Servlet configuration, not the Root configuration.

Make sure WebSocketConfig.class back from your implementation of AbstractAnnotationConfigDispatcherServletInitializer.getRootConfigClasses()

If you place it in the root context, everything will work fine, you can use SimpMessagingTemplate, a broker relay, but not @MessageMapping in the controllers.

You can set a breakpoint in WebSocketAnnotationMethodMessageHandler.initControllerAdviceCache() and check which beans are loaded into the context. If bean is @MessageMapping in this method, @MessageMapping will not work.

Try @ComponentScan in WebSocketConfig so Spring can find the controller.
