Change the language of MySQL error messages

Question

I have a problem with MySQL Error Language. When the request has some error, this error is not in English. It looks like a message

Le champ 'id' ne peut être vide (null) 

I ran this query to change the language but still the same error

 SET lc_messages = 'en_US'; 

How can I change the error message to English?
