How to run Firebug Performance Profiler on page load?

So Firebug has a JavaScript performance profiler that I have never been able to notice ...

Now I would like to use it to troubleshoot page loading problems, but I can’t click the button fast enough! Surely there is a way to profile the page from the very beginning?

Firebug wiki says you can do this with a simple javascript console.profile so on the html page you can do it like this:

 console.profile("Your new profiler"); alert('Open firebug profiles tab to see result'); console.profileEnd();
