Unable to verify iOS application (getting an existing certificate)

When I switched to Yosemite, I did a clean install of my Mac, and now I'm having problems sending iOS to the store.

When I check my archive, I continue to receive: "Your account already has a valid iOS distribution certificate."

I tried to rename and reload my certificate from the member center, but this did not work.

Very common "doh!" You have copied the corresponding item in the keychain,

BUT!

you forgot the private key part:

So, the disclosure triangle on the left is missing, and part of the key symbol is missing what happened.

Solution: just EXTEND the triangle and select BOTH details, then click Export. move the file to another Mac and open.

ALSO - do not forget that in Xcode you must literally log in these days.

Xcode - Settings - second tab == Accounts

It's easy to forget, say, one of your various customer accounts.

The App Distribution app on the Apple Dev website states that this can be a common problem when switching from one mac to another (or reinstalling in this case). A simple fix would be to export your certificates as a developer profile file from your previous installation, but you probably don't have a backup available for you. Try clicking the cancel and request button and see if you can re-upload the developer profile file.

Hope this helps, Will
