The difference between paw and paw

I wonder what the difference is between LAPACK E and LAPACK. I want to do an Eigen analysis with QZ decomposition, but I'm not sure whether to start with LAPACK E or LAPACK. I appreciate any help.

You probably want to use LAPACKE, as it frees you from writing helpers for converting from / to main mode to main column mode for matrices before / after LAPACK calls.

LAPACKE is the C wrapper for the F90 LAPACK standard library. Honestly, its easier (and more efficient) to do things directly with LAPACK as long as you keep things with columns. LAPACKE ultimately calls (in a sense) the LAPACK routines anyway.
