Good afternoon, I just created a project to use Spring-boot and thymeleaf. I am trying to use layout dialogs to use its “tiles, such as patterns”. I addressed this issue and each answer recommends that I add layout dialogs as a Spring-boot configuration file. but every attempt that I had on this failed, the last one came from this link How do I add the timeline dialogs to the spring boot? . so I added this to the configuration file

but this always leads to the following:
"Error resolution template" layout.html ", the template may not exist or may not be available by any of the configured Resolvers templates (welcomeHome: 4)"
however layout.html is located in the / resources / templates folder, so I know this is not a location mismatch. My goal is to simply add the Dialect layout without breaking too many Spring-boot autoconfiguration settings. my pom has both thimeleaf-layout-dialect and thimeleaf-starter.
