I use the Mercury key extension extension to store the password in a remote repository on BitBucket, so I do not need to enter it every time I click on the remote repository. Ironically, he asks me for a password to unlock the keychain every time I need to access it; thereby completely mitigating his purpose for me. What am I doing wrong?
In my global mercurial configuration (~ / .hgrc), I have the following lines:
[extensions] hgext.mercurial_keyring = /etc/mercurial/mercurial_keyring.py
In my repo mercurial configuration (.hg / hgrc) I have:
[paths] default = https:
Example:
> hg out > comparing with https:// username@bitbucket.org /username/repo > Please enter password for encrypted keyring:
I tried to remove the keychain and try again. I also played with the configuration settings that I found online to no avail. I also could not find anything in encrypted keychains and unencrypted keychains with respect to mercurial ones.
How can I get it so that I donβt have to enter a password at all when performing actions with a remote repo?
