Cannot create itunesconnect sandbox sandbox tester

I am stuck with itunesconnect. To test my app purchase code in an iOS app, I'm trying to create a sandbox tester account, but all I get is an “Unknown error”. For the email address, I use a gmail address such as " myname+us@gmail.com ", which is not an existing Apple identifier.
The only strange thing I see is the date of birth, where I can only specify the month and day (no year).
Has anyone experienced the same issue? Is this a problem inside itunesconnect or what can i do here? Any help is appreciated. Andreas

I just ran into the same problem. I was able to finally get a test account when I removed + abcd from my address and just used a different account that I have.

So even if they say they use the thing + abcd, it throws an “Unknown error” when you try to use it.

I had the same error, but that is not my problem. In my case, I created backup accounts that had 3 parts in the domain part of the email address - for example. foo.bar.com. It turns out that this will not work for iTunes, but two parts work fine - for example. foo.com.

Thanks to Apple for such a wonderful opaque error message. He liked to spend several hours on it.

I had to use at least 1 uppercase, 1 special character (e.g. @), 1 punctuation mark and 1 lowercase character and have a length of at least 8 digits.

I just got "This field is invalid" in the password when sending - generally no indication as to what was wrong - great Apple UX

The problem for me was a weak password ..

You need to use a "strong" password (at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 number and 1 punctuation mark).

It is really strange that the error message is unknown.

This is Apple's undocumented behavior. They will block the registration of email addresses that:

  • Already used in the app store for production
  • Already used in the app production store, but also use the + trick to make a mailbox in Gmail
  • Are mailinator addresses
  • They are mail addresses, but use an alternative domain (ayfs? Yiafs.)

Decision

  • Create an MX record in your domain: anon.domain.commail.mailinator.com
  • Register an address, for example bob@anon.domain.com
  • Now you can receive mail in the mailbox for the mailbox named bob

It seems that using the @example.com domain for email will also return this error.

I can confirm that itunesconnect will reject regular one-time emails. I got lucky with pokemail.com (from guerrillamail.com).

I tried using a temporary email address for IAP testing and got the same problem. As soon as I changed it to a popular email service, I was allowed to add it as a tester for the sandbox.

Summarize everything that has been said, it seems that Apple does not allow the use of fake or suspicious email addresses for these purposes.

Nothing worked for me. Then I opened a new Gmail account and it worked.

For me, when I used email ending

@ icloud.com

none of the methods described above worked. I tried to keep a strong password, including 1 punctuation , 1 Upper, 1 Lower, 1 Special and atleast 1 number .

But as soon as I changed the domain to

@ gmail.com

keeping the same configuration as above, this worked for me.
