We are trying to expand text in Visual Studio. Our current attempt is to create transparent decorations inside the line at specific points in the text.
We just stumbled upon the disadvantage of this method. Namely, that when the given text is bound to backgrounds, the classification is broken, and the result is as follows:

We are currently exploring possible solutions to this issue:
- Checking the current classification of the text and applying color intralist decoration.
- Drawing the background manually by drawing a decoration layer under the text.
However, both of these solutions seem very hacked.
What would be the best way to solve this problem?
