Strange RecordVideoAtPathToSavedPhotosAlbum Behavior

We have a video-replicated application and writeVideoAtPathToSavedPhotosAlbum:completionBlock: from ALAssetsLibrary to save the video in the camera’s movie. Most of the time it works very well, but sometimes completionBlock:^(NSURL *assetURL, NSError *error) is called with BOTH parameters equal to nil .

The documentation states that if there is a nil error, there were no errors during the write operation, so assetURL should not be nil . But still we get assetURL == nil and error == nil at the same time, sometimes

When is this possible? Any help is appreciated.

There is no permission to save the image, but the completion of the UIActivityViewController does not return an error
