IntelliJ IDEA: increasing the size of the bar on the right side of the editor

I would like to increase the size of the panel on the right side of the editor in IntelliJ IDEA. It's just too little for my taste.

This is a panel that displays warnings or customs.

R. S .: The strip is called the error strip.

It seems that it - or the scroll bar as a whole - cannot be changed.

I agree, the scrollbar is far from small and difficult to see.

Another option you can try is to install the "CodeGlance" plugin, which adds a complete overview of the code and makes scrolling much more intuitive.

Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + / and select Registry... in the menu that appears.

Find editor.full.width.scrollbar and check the box to the right. The change will take effect after pressing the close button. The width of the scrollbar should be slightly wider, this is not much, but each one helps a little :-)

Unfortunately, this option only affects the scroll bar on the right side of the editor window. All other scrollbars are not affected.

For those who find transparency effects annoying, then look for editor.transparent.scrollbar and uncheck the box on the right. This change will take effect after you click the close button and restart IntelliJ.

You can scroll to the bottom of the bar properties in the GUI section and change the width to an example (100dp). Or you can play with an XML file that contains the width and height property.
