Share in app purchases between Mac and iOS apps

I am developing an application for Mac and iOS, for which I would like to offer IAP to unlock full functionality. Ideally, the customer will be able to restore this non-expendable purchase on their other iOS devices, as well as on their Mac.

While the IAP documentation clearly shows that on Mac and iOS you can make purchases without consumption, there is nothing to say if you can use one purchase on the same platform with another. Can anyone give an answer to this question?

As far as I understand, applications for Mac and iOS are considered separate applications, and I did not see anything in the iTunes connection that would connect application purchases with each other. Just like you can’t buy it, then automatically get another one for free. With that said, I see too possible solutions.

The first solution is to use the server to store the purchased. Provide some login, and then they will be able to download / unlock what was bought, regardless of what platform, because it will be a wave for the account.

If a third-party server is not a solution. I would consider some kind of file sharing or sync between Mac and iOS. MultipeerConnectivity may be an option when the purchased device can synchronize with a device that does not have one. This will require both a Mac and an iOS device to be near, and there are some restrictions on the fact that devices can do this, but may also be an option.

Hope some of them help.
