Split strings into spaces in Sublime Text

Question

How can I split lines in Sublime Text 3? I tried ctrl + t, ctrl + x

but that will not work.

I have a string like

this is a sentence 

I would like to do it

 this is a sentence

I always use Ctrl + H (Replace), activate the regex match (Alt + R), and then replace all with "by" \ n ".

for Mac, select the first space between "this" and "is", then press + d to select the same template in the file, then press enter ~

Remove space, press Alt + F3 (windows) to select everything, press return.
