Confusion about restarting pm2 and rebooting

Issuing "pm2 restart all" will restart all the processes that pm2 controls.

I am wondering: if there have been changes in any of the source files, does this really reload the changes? Or it just restarts the existing pm2 process in memory.

Yes, pm2 restart selects local changes. Customers may need to clear the cache / update if you do not see the changes.
