Error loading PhoneGap Developer application

I use the PhoneGap developer app to instantly test my apps, and from today, the app says “DOWNLOADING” and then after a few seconds says “DOWNLOAD ERROR”. After that, a pop-up window appears with a message

Unable to download archive from the server. Please upgrade the PhoneGap CLI or check your network settings.

So, how do I update CLI PhoneGap and what settings do I need to check? I did not change any network settings, and the PhoneGap Developer application worked fine on my Macbook and iPhone, but now it talks about it.

What is the problem and how to solve it?

EDIT Now I understand that this is happening now because PhoneGap Developer for iOS has been updated (now version 1.5.2). I updated CLG PhoneGap to version 5.0.0-0.28.0, which is the recommended version according to this blog post from PhoneGap

Something seems to have gone wrong with the new way that desktop and mobile apps now interact.

Download the latest version of PhoneGap Desktop from the official website. Therefore, you need to update the PhoneGap Developer mobile app, CLI PhoneGap, and download the latest PhoneGap desktop app.

I managed to start the local server from CLI PhoneGap. The fact is that for some reason, using PhoneGap Desktop does not launch a special Windows dialog to allow some actions for the application.

You should try to manually launch the phonegap serve command in the CMD window to request a firewall on Windows (if you are on Windows). You can also view the log. Leave the window open.

I have the same problem and I fixed it by updating the phone disassembly.

Update your phone difference npm update -g phonegap or sudo npm update -g phonegap if root is required.

Also update your CLI Phonegap on your mobile phone.
