Running AWS Lambda from a form post

Question

I created a small AWMS Lambda that sends emails using SES. I am looking to link a contact form from a static website to this lambda.

Is it possible for a contact with us to send a message directly to the lambda URL? I do not use server-side frameworks and would really like to avoid this, what are my options? Is there a client side Javascript way to call lambda?

Wrote a blog post about this.

This is fully doable. It is a matter of using AWS Cognito to call this function.

• You have your lambda function. Grandee.
• Create a new Cognito Group.
• Grant the Cognito group non-automatic permissions the lambda function.

The hard part ensures that the IAM settings for the Cognito group and Lambda functions are configured correctly. I used this lesson quite heavily, but I used cognito to complete it, so I did not open the keys.
