Android Studio tooltip not automatically hiding

I accidentally changed the fixed / floating settings in the help window. Now a hint appears, but does not hide as it should. Here is a demonstration of the problem:

As you can see in the GIF above, the help window displays correctly, but does not close when it should close. How can I make him behave normally? I tried all the modes (docked, floating, docked ...), but none of them lead to the behavior that I want.

The quick documentation window is a bit unique. It can work both a popup window (by default) and a tool window. You are now in tool window mode. All the settings you talked about (float, dock, pinned, etc.) are the settings of the tool window. What you want to do is restore it in popup mode by clicking the red X in the window toolbar:

... or using the short cut "Quick Documentation" Ctrl + Q or ⌃ , J on Mac.
