Where does Visual Studio 2015 display error indicators in a solution?

I am testing Visual Studio 2015 RC. Where does Visual Studio 2015 display error indicators in a solution? If I am in a cs file that compiles fine, but the solution has compilation errors, how can I find out by looking at the IDE without opening windows? Search for something similar to an analysis indicator for a wide range of R # solutions or the Redgate NET demo panel (in VS 2013).

The exact thing you are looking for is not available in Visual Studio 2015 out of the box. But there are several options.

Built-in: Error List

The list of errors has been expanded, and now it is more dynamic due to Roslyn, so you can see warnings and errors on your code (without the need to recompile).

You have more control over what is shown; You can filter all decisions, open documents, the current project or the current document, as well as combinations of IntelliSense or Build reviews:

If you always link the error list somewhere, then you will get some real-time feedback.

Empowering Power Tools

Microsoft Performance Extension Power Tools for Visual Studio has the Explorer> Errors feature, which provides visual feedback in Solution Explorer for warnings and errors at all levels (file, project, solution).

It is directly related to the list of errors and the parameters that you selected there. This is basically a projection of the real-time error list in the solution explorer:

The version page of the VS2013 extension contains more information and images if you want to see their documents before making your choice: https://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/dbcb8670-889e-4a54-a226-a48a15e4cace (it comes with a lot of other functions, but you can always disable what you don’t want yet)

Other options

Outside of the built-in or Microsoft options, you have commercial ReSharper and any other extensions that people make available. I am a big fan of ReSharper, so I am not aware of other options right now.

You need to show a list of errors if it is no longer visible

Click View> Error List.
