How to clear or delete browser session using firefox developer tools

I used to be able to delete a browser session in the Firefox developer tools. Now it seems I can’t? I have turned on the viewing of the Storage tab and can see the session, but it no longer gives me the opportunity to delete it.

I want to delete a session due to web development. My site stores navigation changes in a PHP session, and I don't need to completely kill the browser and reopen.

Any ideas? Using FF 39.0 php session

  • From the firefox button or tool menu, go to the Settings tab> Privacy.
  • Select "Firefox Will: Use Custom Settings For History"
  • Click "Show Cookies"
  • Use the search box to enter the domain name of your site during development or expand the folder lists to find the website whose cookies you want to delete.
  • Select a cookie or cookies from the list you want to delete and click "Delete Cookies".

Once this is done, you just need to refresh your page and let PHP check the actual session, and when it does not find it, it will create a new session and save the new PHPSESSID cookie in your browser as a new session with which you can do what do you like.

The best way is described here:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Storage_Inspector

  • Enable storage tab in developer tools using the settings icon in the upper right corner of the developer tools.
  • Go to cookies and right click on it, then Delete All
