Android Studio continues to crash

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Since I used Windows 10, Android Studio has crashed. It starts up and tries to load the project, and then crashes. If I click the "Cancel" button while loading a project, it goes to a new project / opens the project launch screen. At the moment, it is stable, so it must be connected with the opening of projects. I know that the projects are not damaged, because I created new ones, and they also collapsed. If I look at the bottom right where the description of the download is described, it works until the "indexing of files" is complete.

I spent hours and hours browsing the Internet, but to no avail. I added system variables, I deleted the registry key, I reinstalled the program twice, and I even switched to Windows 7 to see if it would work on this OS (it was).

Any help to make it work is greatly appreciated.

if you look at the website http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html it does not support Windows 10, but you may have to switch to Windows 7 for a while or wait for them to update the System Window Requirements

Microsoft® Windows® 8/7 / Vista / 2003 (32 or 64-bit) 2 GB RAM minimum, 4 GB RAM recommended

I suggest the following solution:

  • Launch your Android-studio 2-3 times, the 3rd time is usually a charm :)

If this does not work.

  • Go to the project directory and open CMD in this directory. enter

    run gradlew.bat OR gradlew.bat
  • Let it update the gradle files.

  • Launch your Android studio.
