After reading the comment on @SLaks, I tend to point out that there are server tools that should do just that.

In fact, I think Windows Server editions come with these features out of the box.

It is completely impossible to access the end-user registry unless you use the ActiveX control for IE only. (and there is (almost) no better way to make your users hate you than using an ActiveX control)

If you are trying to check the home pages of your end users , you should opt out; it is completely impossible.

The registry, as in the Windows registry? This may be possible with Internet Explorer 6, but I don't think so. There is no (good) reason to access the registry on a website, you just don't want it!

If you mean the client, then no. (Maybe with some ActiveX controls, but I'm not sure about that)

Why do you even need to access the registry from webapp?

You cannot access the registry of the client, no, you can access the registry on the server, but this will be a rather nasty thing in a web application.
