Strange Docker Status on Windows

$ docker-machine ls

gives me

 NAME ACTIVE DRIVER STATE URL SWARM default virtualbox Timeout

And if I run start.sh in the Docker Toolbox, I get

  ## . ## ## ## == ## ## ## ## ## === /"""""""""""""""""\___/ === ~~~ {~~ ~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~ ~~~ ~ / ===- ~~~ \______ o __/ \ \ __/ \____\_______/ host is not running docker is configured to use the default machine with IP

What does this condition mean?

To solve the problem , go to your virtual box and delete the virtual machine . Then launch your Docker Quickstart Terminal . It creates a virtual machine from scratch if it is not present and connects to it.

I saw this after changing my Host Virtual Box adapters (changed IP addresses).

The docker machine gets a timeout when switching between Wi-Fi networks / VPNs. If we return to the same network where the docker container was launched, we can return the docker machine to working condition.

If you don’t know which network you started your docking machine on, just restart your computer to fix the problem.
