How to access Postgres database from Excel Mac?

I need to create a really simple table in Excel with data from db Postgres to localhost.

I managed to do this with the OpenLink PostgreSQL Lite Driver , but does not look friendly or manageable. I used ODBC for Windows, but I'm not sure about OS X. I need it to be open source.

The official Microsoft method for connecting Excel for Mac to a database is to use one of several supported drivers, none of which are open source:

Personally, I used Actual Technologies driver with Excel for Mac 2011, and it worked, but I had problems with it with Excel version 2016. I also used Postgres.

Instead, I decided to write data from the DB database to csv, and then connect to csv from Excel. Thus, I do not need to deal with connecting to the database, but this is not ideal.
