Secured by authentication when downloading to the App Store

I saw several other SO issues related to this; but I went through all the corrections without joy.

My company had one Mac to use as a team. This worked perfectly fine. We really needed another so that we had another. I exported a developer profile from the first Mac to the second Mac. It seemed that everything was working fine, we could test local devices, etc. However, now we can’t download them to the App Store from the Mac, they just get stuck on authentication without errors.

What I've done:

  • Tried another connection
  • Set HTTPS proxy to 80
  • Launching the application loader and Xcode at the same time
  • Recover our certificates and training profiles
  • Set build options for various combinations of certificates and profiles.
  • Turn off and on again (more than once)
  • Update Java
  • Bump version and build numbers
  • License agreement checked (no updates)
  • Removed Xcode caching DerivedData li>

I can access Apple developer sites, just fine - developer.apple.com, iTunes Connect, all without any problems.

I solved this problem by deleting personal data using the built-in tool (Window β†’ Projects), and then uninstalling Xcode itself and reinstalling it.

Some responses to StackOverflow suggested that we wait a little longer and be patient, others stated that rebooting OR reinstalling Xcode should do the trick, but no one worked for me. However, the iTMSTransporter update (Apple's command-line tool) worked for me, and if that didn’t work for you, I consider it necessary ...

Just back up your existing installation / folders. This is important because during the (new) installation, your previous installations will be removed by Transporter:

cd ~ mv .itmstransporter/ .old_itmstransporter/

Now run the following command to update Transporter:

 "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications/Application Loader.app/Contents/itms/bin/iTMSTransporter"

Hope this helps someone.

There was the same problem after upgrading to xCode 7.0.1. In my case, cleaning up the DerivedData project and restarting Mac OS fixed it.
