How to implement multitasking Split Screen on iPad using third-party applications?

I tried to implement the multitasking feature provided by Apple using the AIR application, but it seems to be missing something.

I recommended the following:

  • Compiled application with iOS9 SDK.
  • All implemented orientation.
  • Storyboard added.

However, I do not see a vertical bar that divides the two applications into multitasking.

Let me know if you have successfully implemented this in third-party applications?

All 3 steps listed are correct. Also make sure Requires Full Screen set to NO . It works great for me.

Please let me know if you (or anyone else) have problems supporting Split View.

Which iPad are you using to test your application? Not all iPads support this behavior. This table shows which iPads support Slide, Image in Picture, and Split modes:

Apple's Documentation for more information.

By the way, how did you manage to use the startup screen storyboard with the Adobe AIR application?

The split screen did not work for me, because although I had a storyboard, I did not use it. Make sure your Launch Screen File installed and your Launch Images Source empty.

Run screen file

Disable Portrait , Upside Down , Landscape Left and Landscape Right in the Deployment Information section. Also make sure Requires full screen not disabled.

Finally, you should double-check the correctness of your Info.plist. UIRequiresFullScreen should be NO. Supported interface orientations and Supported interface orientations (iPad) must have all 4 orientations.
