USB connectivity issues for Android 6 Nexus 5

This morning I upgraded to Android 6 through the factory, and now I want to put some data on my 5 connection via usb. If I connect the device, I see Nexus 5 in (Windows 10) Explorer, but when I select it, it does not show me the entry “Internal storage”, but gives me the information “This folder is empty”.

I can access memory via ftp, but this is just a temporary solution. Does anyone know how to fix this? In addition, there are actually no “USB options,” so I cannot choose things like mtp.

Debugging is disabled.

had the same problem, so I turned on the developer options, went to the line for the usb configuration. it was on “MTP”, so I switched to another mode, and then returned to MTP again, and it worked. Hope this works for you.

I have nexus 9 and Android 6.0. You must go into the developer options. Then over the network you select USB. Although it is already selected as MTP, just press the MTP button again. It is frustrating that you have to repeat this every time you reconnect the device.
