How obsolete is "HTTP: The Ultimate Guide"?

I am considering the purchase of HTTP: the ultimate guide with a view to understanding HTTP and its related technologies. I am curious, 13 years after publication - the book is still worth buying.

To help me make a decision, I am looking for information on two issues:

  • What important changes have occurred in the HTTP world that the book does not cover? (For bonus points: what resources are recommended to read to catch up?)

  • Doesn't any of the sections matter anymore?

Check out the table of contents books to get an idea of what is covered.

Edit: This book is not about web-based technologies. Obviously, since 2002, significant changes have taken place in this area. Reply to HT TP . Thanks.

HTTP 1.1 has been around since the late 90s. Information should be very up to date.

HTTP 2.0 is starting to gain momentum. It has been revised and is now a binary protocol. But currently, probably not many books have been written about this.
