Android Studio Explorer not working on Marshmallow (Nexus devices)

Question

After upgrading my Nexus 5 and then my Nexus 7 to Marshmallow, it looks like I can no longer access the device storage.

Previously, from the Android Studio Device Monitor file browser, I could access mnt / shell / emulated / 0 to access the device’s external storage.

Now, with Marshmallow, it seems that mnt / shell has completely disappeared. Is there a way to access the same storage location?

Have you tried /mnt/user/0/primary ? It works great on the G4 and Nexus 6, working with Marshmallow.
