Compare current file with historical version in VS2015 TFS Git Source Control

When I pull out the file’s history, I can compare this version with the other version indicated in the history by selecting both options and doing “Compare”, or I can compare the historical version and it will change its previous version to “Compare with previous”.

However, I cannot find a command that will allow me to compare the historical version in the history list with the currently edited version on disk. Does anyone know what this command is called, so I can connect it to the context menu?

This was one of the best features of TFSVC, and I hope that it is somewhere deep in the bowels of GIT support in VS2015.

Edit: since there is no official solution: I created a User Voice element proposed by @ Patrick-MSFT

This is not supported now.

You can vote for User vote here:

In Vs, you can only compare your current edited version with unchanged status.

Besides voting on UserVoice (I did it), you can use this method with VS 2017: Git and Visual Studio 2017 part 13: Compare your elements in VS

Go to Team Explorer | Changes | Actions and view the history, then select the last Push and historical commit that you want to compare and select Compare Commits.
