Difference Between Gradle Home Directory and Gradle Standalone Directory

There are two ways to gradle in Android Studio settings. The first one is in the project-level_setting, called Gradle home: and the second is the Global_level_setting service directory path: which I use for a stand-alone gradle path.

What is the difference and why this path? I googled and could not find a clear answer.

The service directory path is the standard Gradle home directory. This is where the cache is stored.

Basically, it overrides the default value of Gradle: Home when entering offline mode, Gradle will look for dependencies there (in the cache), since it does not have network access; which is kind of heat if you do.

NOTE: Gradle home - the full path to your Gradle installation is specified.
