Azure: you do not have a subscription in the directory

I have a Windows account (hotmail.com) that has an associated MSDN Enterprise subscription.

I work for a company that has a PAYG subscription and they want to give me access so that I can deploy websites, virtual machines, etc.

They made me a "co-administrator", but when I went to the portal and switched to this directory, I get a "No Subscription" notification. "You do not have access to subscriptions in the <redacted → directory."

I was a "user" in their directory, so I decided to change it to "Global Admin." But I get the same message.

What are we missing?

In the classic portal ( https://manage.windowsazure.com ), adding you as a co-administrator is enough to give you full access to the subscription.

However, on the new portal ( https://portal.azure.com ) you must be added as a co-owner through the RBAC system. Someone with the appropriate role should go to "Browse"> "Subscriptions"> "folder_name"> "All settings"> "Users" to add you to the "Owner" role.

Does it help?

My problem was a little different, I had 2 directories that were associated with the same users that led me to the error, not recognizing the subscription for any directory.

I just deleted the created directory and left the subscription associated with the “default directory” using the settings on the old portal, and it worked like a charm.
