Failed to install Sonarlint plugin in platform: Eclipse Mars.1 (4.5.1)

Question

When trying to install the sonar lint plugin in the STS tool, it does not install and says that Sonar lint is not compatible with this version of eclipse.

Hi, you can download the sonar lint from the URL http://www.sonarlint.org/eclipse/ , and then follow these steps

• Make sure the download location, do not unzip the archive file (for windows)

• Go to install new software in eclipse Help →

• Click the Add button to the right of the text box with the text box , the following screen will appear

• Fill in the name of the name as "Sonar", etc.

• Now select the downloaded archive file by clicking the Archive button
• Follow the installation instructions from the installation window

You can also install the SonarLint zip file as follows:

1.go to https://bintray.com/sonarsource/SonarLint-for-Eclipse/releases/2.6.0 .

2. load the jar configuration file and go to the eclipse help menu

3. Click "install new software"

4.click on add.

6. "Open" the jar file from the place where you downloaded the jar.

I don’t know what the problem is, but I worked on it by running STS, select “Install New Software” and pasted the URL of the Solarlint update site into this dialog: http://eclipse.sonarlint.org/

This allowed me to install the plugin in STS 3.7.2 without any problems. Hope this helps !!!

2. In Eclipse, go to Help-> Install New Software-> Add

3. Now click "Archive", select the downloaded plug-in zip file and click "OK".
