Awesome Font Flashing in Google Chrome

I use FontAwesome as my few icons on my website:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.5.0/css/font-awesome.min.css">

But in chrome, when I refresh the page, it takes a 0.5 second second to load the Awesome font, which causes the page to shift and then back when the font loads.

I tried it with Edge and Firefox and they load instantly, why is this?

Try placing it directly on your hosting server and download it from there. Loading assets from a CDN sometimes causes problems.
