I am currently happy with my web application using URL Schemas to run my native application. Starting with iOS 9, my users now have a pop-up window that says "Open in app name". I figured out how to fix this using Universal Links, using a different domain, and then the application I am starting from, but ran into a problem.
Key points
- The application is distributed outside the application store as Enterprise Distribution. Therefore, if I understand correctly, smart application banners are not applied.
- If my application is not installed, a page on how to install it is posted on my universal link website.
- If the user launches the application but does not have it, he correctly receives my installation page
- As soon as the application appears in the application, if the user clicks on the domain link in the upper right corner, he will not be able to start the application again.
The problem I am facing is that if the user ever clicks on the link / breadcrumb from the top right, the application will no longer start. It will always direct the user to the installation page. I know if I take off there is an open button on this page that will lead me to the application, or if I click on the link for a long time, I can also launch the application. However, I cannot make my users understand this.
Is there a way to disable the link in the upper right corner?
