IntelliJ - the selected directory is not home to the JDK

Like this IntelliJ question , "The selected directory is not home to the JDK," a message appears stating that my JDK directory is unexpectedly invalid.

Although my JDK directory is great for me and worked the last time, I downloaded IntelliJ

So, I select a valid JDK directory, but still get this error.

What could be the reason for this? What can be fixed?

This is due to the lack of tool.jar and / or rt.jar from the JAVA_HOME/lib directory.

Reinstalling java may fix this problem.
