Genymotion stuck on splash screen

My peer computer shuts down due to a power failure while genymotion was running. Unfortunately, after restarting the Xubuntu 14.04 machine, genymotion stopped working. It always gets stuck on the startup screensaver. I tried reinstalling genymotion and virtualbox several times, all in vain. There seems to be a problem with user authentication.

This is the log file: -

And there is nothing more than that.

EDIT - "kaveri kumar" is her username for her genymotion account. I don’t understand, although I entered Yes when you suggested deleting the log files, her username is still stored somewhere on the system.

The problem was that I did not delete the configuration file in /home/.config/Genymobile . Removing this and other genymotion files, and then reinstalling genymotion fixed the problem. As I said in the question, the username and password were saved, and they probably caused the problem.

I saw something similar ... Solved using "Run as administrator".

You do not need to reinstall Genymotion or remove .config / Genymobile. What you need to delete is a single file, which is ~ user / .config / Genymotion.conf.lock.

After removal, windows will appear that load the β€œboot plug-in”, which will appear ready.

I just want to say that I had the same problem, and uninstalling and reinstalling Genymotion fixed my problem.

My experience was a little different on my Mac. To fix the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled Genymotion. Before starting, I find ~ -maxdepth 3 -iname '*Genymotion*' this command find ~ -maxdepth 3 -iname '*Genymotion*' . He showed me a saved state list for Genymotion, and I just deleted all of them. In my case, I deleted the following files:

 rm Library/Preferences/com.genymobile.Genymotion.plist rm Library/Preferences/com.yourcompany.genymotion.plist rm -rf Library/Saved\ Application\ State/com.yourcompany.genymotion.savedState

My Genymotion got stuck on the boot plugins screen, and then I found this post. Bigver's answer didn’t help me at first, because I use Windows 10 and Genymotion 2.9.0, I can’t find the .config folder or the file that he mentioned. This problem made me go crazy the night I got it.

However, as Bigver suggested, the problem is in the Users folder. I came up with a solution and it fixed my problem:

  • Create a new user account.
  • Create this Administration account
  • Log in to this account and go to the Users folder (usually C: \ Users \ "YourUserName")
  • Copy the AppData folder and the .VirtualBox folder to another location (for example, the ABC folder).
  • Logging out a new user and logging in for your primary user.
  • Delete the folders / files associated with Genymotion and replace them with the folders / files in the ABC folder.
  • Delete new user (optional).

Hope this helps.

In my case, I had an old version of VirtualBox, it worked after installing the last one and restarting my Windows 10 machine.
