I often use GenyMotion, and I was also interested. I was able to successfully rename one of my GenyMotion virtual machines by doing the following:
- Close GenyMotion completely (it may not be necessary, but mine was completely closed when I tried it)
- Open VirtualBox ("Oracle Virtual Machine Manager")
- In the list of virtual machines, right-click on the GenyMotion virtual machine that you want to rename
- In the context menu that appears, click "Settings ..."
- Make sure you are on the General tab of the General section.
- Change the text inside the Name text box or text box to whatever you want.
- Finally, just click the βOKβ button at the bottom of the window.
When you open GenyMotion, you should see the device listed with any name entered inside VirtualBox.
I personally tested this on Window 10 64bit, with VirtualBox v5.0.8 (r103449) and GenyMotion v2.5.4. After following the steps above, I was able to successfully rename the Android virtual machine and use it in GenyMotion.
Note Renaming of the folder is also displayed. Hope this will not be a problem for you.
