Ionic - Splash Screen works for iOS but not Android

Question

I have an ionic application in which a splash screen and icons generated using the CLI ionic resources command

The iOS version works fine with the screen saver displayed, but in the Android version only when the application is displayed, a white screen is displayed.

I checked the config.xml file and all the paths seem to be correct and the generated images are present in the respective folders. (I used the splash.psd template to create them.

What am I missing?

In the config.xml file, add the following keys:

It worked for me!

I had a bug with one of the earlier versions of the splashscreen plugin. The way I fixed this was just using Ionic resources, and after that downgrade the splashscreen plugin to version 2.0.0 using ionic plugin add cordova-plugin-splashscreen@2.0.0
