Can I put a live photo in iOS Simulator?

I want to create an application for displaying live photos. But I do not have an iPhone 6S . Is it possible to place live photos in iOS Simulator ? Thanks!

The only way I found is quite awkward: get a live photo in the iCloud photo stream, and then connect your simulator to your iCloud account. Live photos will then be available in your photo lab for simulators.

As you might expect, the “get a live photo ...” step can be tricky - you may need a friend with the iPhone 6s / 6s + for iMessage. Although some services, such as Facebook and Google Photos, support viewing photos in real time in the application, they do not seem to support uploading them to their photo library, while preserving their living lives.

Here is how I did it. Using the PhotosUI interface, my application requests LivePhoto. Using PHAsset, it gives me, I save a local copy of the .mov file and high quality .png images. These two files are "LivePhoto". In Xcode, I go to devices with a connected phone, select the application, click the cog ctrl icon at the bottom and select the container to load. Go to Finder, right-click on the .xcappdata file that I just downloaded, select ShowPackageContents, and the files where I wrote them. I drag and drop them into the application (Xcode is open - drop them in the navigator on the left) and they will be added to the application package.
