How to download the Swift Playgrounds iPad app?

I see so many articles by people who have tested the Swift Playgrounds app on the iPad for development, which Apple announced at WWDC. But I can not find the ipa / download option from developer.apple.com . The public version comes out in July, but I'm not sure if a registered developer (with a developer account) can access it right now.

You need iOS 10 Beta 1 (at least if someone reads this in the future).

They have a “special” beta app store for plug-in apps in stock.

Perhaps the confusion is that the application is called "Playgrounds", not counting the "Swift"! So in the spotlight, enter the playgrounds or find it on your main screen ... (Not what I immediately noticed, they should have told us!)

  • Sign up for the Apple Beta software . You can use your Apple ID to register! Pretty lightweight stuff.
  • Backing up your iOS device using iTunes (in my case, this is iPad mini 64GB). To do this, connect your iPad to your computer / Mac by launching iTunes, right-click on your device and click "Back". DON'T MISS THIS STEP - this ensures that if iOS 10 Beta 1 crashes on your iPad, you can return to the stable version of iOS!
  • On your iPad ( In SAFARI ... tried this in Chrome and it didn’t work), go to beta.apple.com/profile and download which apple calls the “Configuration Profile”. This will install the platform necessary to install iOS 10 Beta 1 on your device. (installer for installer ... start!)
  • Once the “Configuration Profile” is installed on your iOS device, you can go to Settings > General > Software Update to install the beta version of iOS 10 1. iOS 10 Beta 1 contains Swift Playgrounds, for example, @saxophone
