Will Heroku account verification charge any cost?

Question

I have a personal blog hosted on Heroku. I want to buy my own domain name and point it to my Heroku application.

Heroku requires a credit card to add custom domains. It is called Account Verification.

Now I do not want / cannot afford any value from the hosting company. I want to use Heroku for free.

Will Heroku account be verified at any cost?

If my application gets too much access, will it automatically scale and charge for it?

Verifying your account with Heroku will not charge you anything. If you deploy several Heroku apps and get a free clock (1000 / month), your apps will sleep until the end of the month.

If you provide any paid add-on services, you will also be charged.

If you do not use “free dynodes”, then you will simply charge normally.

"When you use all your free dinosaurs for a specific month, all the free applications in your account will be forced to sleep for the rest of the month."

Plus, you will get a warning when you approach this quota:

"When you exceed 80% of the free dynamo quota, you will receive an email notification warning you about the use of your account, giving you time to set up free use of dinos-dependent applications."
