Iisreset error for windows 10

I recently upgraded my desktop from Windows 7 to Windows 10

However, when I run iisrest from the admin console, I get the following error:

Reboot error. The IIS Admin Service or the World Wide Web Publishing Service, or a service dependent on them, could not be started. A service or dependent services may have an error during its startup or may be disabled.

First I checked my services and the IIS Admin service no longer works. Then I tested the Windows features, and, like almost every article on the Internet that discusses IIS installations, I chose Internet Information Services.

I checked and the web service restarted. Is this a new feature in Windows10 that IIS Admin is no longer required. Is there another step I need to take to install the service

Or is it now a problem with IISReset, and I can ignore the error.

I also tested this in a recently installed Windows 10 window, and starting IISReset gives the same error and is checked again through the Windows functions in which IIS is installed.

I can access the website locally without any problems.

After @Zam recommended searching the event log and joking a lot, the problem was that the services Net.Tcp Port Exchange Service and Net.Tcp Listener Adapter on my computer were disabled by default.

After starting these services and changing the startup type to "Automatic (Delayed start)" iisreset no longer gives me an error

For this problem, start the following services on Windows:

  1. Net.Tcp Listener Adapter
  2. Net.Pipe Listener Adapter
  3. Net.Msmq Listener Adapter
  4. Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service
  5. Message queue
  6. W3SVC Service

It must be an IIS administration service. I had the same problem, and I was able to solve it after starting IIS Administration Service and setting it to "Automatic"
