Can I use iOS Simulator to take screenshots for the App Store?

I would like to introduce the iPhone + iPad app to the Apple App Store.

In accordance with the requirements , at least two screenshots are required:

1242 x 2208: for iPhone
2048 x 2732: for iPad.

iOS Simulator allows you to set the type of device on the iPhone 6 Plus (5.5 inches) and iPad pro (12.9 inches).

Does iTunes Connect support screenshots taken on Simulator ?
(Or I need to buy an iPhone and iPad to take screenshots.)

Yes, you can send screenshots taken in Simulator.

I recommend testing on a physical device. You can use Test Flight with external testers who already own the device if you do not want or cannot get your own.
