This happened to me, and the reason is that installing Visual Studio 2017 cannot uninstall the existing IIS Express package. Try the following:

  • Close the installation of the VS 2017 installer and go to this place "C: \ ProgramData \ Microsoft \ VisualStudio \ Packages \ Microsoft.Ancm.IISExpress.Msi, version = 1.0.1967, chip = x64"

    enter image description here

    1. There must be a .msi file with the name "ancm_iis_express_x64_en.msi". Run this msi and uninstall the component (there should be an uninstall option).

    2. After completing the restart of the VS 2017 installation again, and this time you will receive an error message with this component. If you encounter a similar error, read the error message, track the package from the Packages folder and delete it.

Please note that uninstalling any package does not affect the existing package for VS 2015/2013.

Hope this helps.
