Chrome's Jwplayer subtitles look too big

I have a jwplayer page for playing videos, but the subtitles in chrome are too big.

You can check this on the following example page: https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1430278-cea-608-and-708-captions

Firefo example. Headers are fine Firefox ok

Chrome example. Subtitles are too big. Chrome subtitles are too big

This is likely because Chrome does not apply (override) any style of the track’s own elements (608 subtitles, VTT) and automatically scales them based on the player / screen size and OS settings.

Mentioned here (see "Properties" section, fontSize property): https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1482067-styling-captions-for-fcc-compliance

You can change the signature style using the caption configuration block. This is primarily relevant in the context of accessibility requirements, such as those established by the FCC in the United States.

And here is the embed code associated with this setting:

var playerInstance = jwplayer("myElement"); playerInstance.setup({ file: "/assets/sintel.mp4", image: "/assets/sintel.jpg", tracks: [{ file: "/assets/captions.vtt" }] }], captions: { color: '#FF0000', fontSize: 24, backgroundOpacity: 50 } });`
