Is there an ethertype field in the 802.11 header

In the 802.11 header, I see that there is no ethertype field. How is this possible?

If 802.11 implements any higher layer protocol, this 802.11 header type / subtype field will be β€œData” (0x20) or β€œQos Data” (0x28), and there will usually be an SNAP header (rfc1042) above the 802.11 header, which will convey the type of useful load (IP, ARP, etc.).

Of course, theoretically, you can transfer any Layer 2 protocol and use any LLC header.
